Former NFL Star trains youth at Michigan Made Advanced Athletics
MIDLAND, Mich. (WJRT) - Some Mid-Michigan kids are starting their summer getting sports training by a retired NFL player!
Michigan Made Athletics in Midland offers a variety of leagues and camps for kids -- from football to basketball to cheer -- with a focus on integrity, community and youth development.
ABC12 paid them a visit at their Midland facility to learn more about how the camp began.

In front of a sea of fans decked in green and white, emotions peaked as the ball was set on the tee for the Sunday night opening kickoff. The ball was booted deep to the Cowboys kick returner before rookie linebacker, Nick Bellore, blasted him, sending his own helmet into the air.

Vince Agnew ready to play in the slot
IRVING, Texas -- With Orlando Scandrick most likely out for the rest of the regular season after surgery to his hand, Vince Agnew will take over for the Cowboys as the slot cornerback.
Brandon Carr and Mike Jenkins could also see time at the position, but Agnew has some experience too. He played the slot for two seasons at Central Michigan, where in 47 games he made 161 tackles and had 14 pass breakups.

Vince Agnew trained and competed at the highest level of sports as a player in the National Football League. Now, he pours that experience and passion into training and coaching young athletes locally. Agnew's Midland-based company, Michigan Made Advanced Athletics, has taught around 3,000 children the sports of football, basketball, soccer and cheer and has offered different camps and events.

Argos DB Vince Agnew Showing his Versatility
Agnew played in 16 games with the Argos in 2014 as a rookie in multiple positions on the field, recording 45 combined tackles and four sacks as a Swiss Army knife in Toronto’s secondary.

The first Swagnew Game Breakers Football Camp was attended by nearly 30 youth football players aged 10 to 16, a group that spent the weekend learning drills, technique and conditioning from Agnew.

Vince Agnew's blocked field goal in second OT leads to Central Michigan's win in GMAC Bowl
MOBILE, Ala. -- As Vince Agnew was interviewed on stage at midfield after being named the GMAC Bowl's defensive player of the game Wednesday night, teammate Bobby Seay beamed.
"That's my roommate!"
Agnew's blocked field goal allowed No. 25 CMU to win the game 44-41 on Andrew Aguila's 37-yard kick in double overtime.
